So. I've been blatantly ignoring this blog. I'm so sorry dear readers... if there are any of you left? I have succumbed to the lazy fingers that do not want to type, upload, and arrange photos. I still take lots of photos... I promise! Then my friends Grant & Leandra tagged me in their blog. (I'll get you guys back!!!) So I took it as a sign that I should proooobably update this. It's been what, MONTHS? So I fished through my computer and pulled out photos from the past ehhh... I don't know how long. Here they are, in all their glory. No particular order. Some favorites that never made it to the blog.

Forgive me bloggers, for I have sinned...

So here we have a few of the WONDERFUL Steve & Kasey... Kasey's mom worked with me for a few months and was my Momma Bear when I first moved to Lafayette. Absolutely wonderful family.

Next on the menu are my dear friends Matt & Patti. I've known Matt for 6 years through the Army, and have come to know his WIFE Patti fairly well! Their wedding was an absolute blast because I knew a lot of the people there. They made me feel completely at home and Patti planned the entire wedding around her photos. Which led to some fantastic shots. There is no way I could put them all on here!

Then we have baby Ella. I took pictures of her when she was still in mom's belly, and when she was first born. Here she is 6 months later and smiling! She was such an absolute doll to see. Can't wait for her 1 year!

And Finally here is some random goodness...

Oh... Grant & Leandra... Did you think I would forget?

Tara & Jeff were an absolute PLEASURE to work with! Tara has a degree in Dental Hygiene and Jeff is a Carpenter. They have Three wonderful kids, and you can cut the love in that family with a knife! They even made sure to have the kids involved in the ceremony, each one got a necklace with the family crest on it. I had a blast shooting their wedding and I hope it's not the last time I see them! Tara, you crack me up! Hope you like them guys!

She REALLY liked my camera. A LOT.

Eventually I caved in and let her hold it. I then showed her how to press the button to take a picture, and the following shot is what she took. I think we have a future photographer!

I had such a blast at this reception! These people know how to have a GOOD time. I met them in the afternoon at the Marriott, Dawn looked stunning and Brandon had his AWESOME Frank Sinatra hat on. (Totally my style!) We did some group photos outside since it was such a beautiful day, then moved inside for the reception. Everything looked absolutely stunning, and everyone had a great time! Here's a little taste for you!

Home Goodness!!!

I went home this past weekend to watch my little brother graduate!!! I was so proud to see him walk across the stage. He's going to go far...

I hung around and photographed people at his graduation party... here are a few. Hope you guys like them!

Meet A ~ She's Graduating!

I've known *A* since she was a little girl. It was SOOOO weird seeing her grown up with dark straight hair. This girl had the curliest, blondest ringlets ever! We went downtown Elkhart for her shoot and had a blast! The weather was absolutely perfect, and look at her... she's gorgeous! It was so nice to see you sweetie! I hope you like them! Congrats on graduating!

Becky, Sanford & Kyra ~ A busy family!

6 months ago Becky & Sanford welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Kyra is an absolute JOY to be around! I may be a bit biased, but who cares? I think she's beautiful! So, Becky & Sanford are getting married this fall and yours truly is shooting their wedding! This shoot was an engagement/family/6 month update. That's a lot packed into one shoot! We walked around downtown and had a blast. Kyra had never walked around downtown so she had a bit of a hard time paying attention to the camera. Still turned out some great shots though! Hope you like them guys. Can't wait to see you soon!

Meet Trent & Heather ~ They're expecting!

I met Trent & Heather a few weeks ago and I CANNOT WAIT to meet their new baby girl, Ella! She's due anytime now and a little after she's born I'll be driving out to do her first photos. Trent & Heather are such genuinely sweet people. I wish every client I ever have could be like them! Their love for one another is quite obvious, and I'm sure little Ella will have the most wonderful parents a child could have!
It was so wonderful meeting you guys! See you in a few weeks.

Ryan & Leeann FINALLY welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world! Jesse Cameron was born last friday and he's absolutely breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL! I almost cried when I finally saw him! I've watched Leeann's belly grow over the past 9 months and it's just amazing to see the little bundle that came out of her belly! I cannot wait to watch him grow...

I couldn't resist getting this shot! His cheeks are SOOOO delicious!

Savannah Georgia!

This last weekend the army band that I'm in took a trip to Savannah to play for the 76th Infantry Brigade out of Indiana. The 76th left Indiana in January and has just finished their final training before being sent to Iraq. The ceremony went well, then afterwards the 38th Division Rock Band played a concert for the troops and their families. It was almost like a fair, there was all kinds of food and LOTS of activities for the kids to do. I was amazed at how many people were there! Literally THOUSANDS! It was nice seeing all the soldiers walking around with their families. Even though it outwardly seemed like a happy time, there was a definite underlying sadness. It is the last time these soldiers will see their families in a long time, and for some... ever. I decided to walk around and just take a few shots of some of these special moments, and I ended up with a lot more than I thought I would. Walking around there really made me appreciate those people. They are leaving the loved ones they look so happy with, to fight for our country. These people are the reason we have the lifestyle we do. And if anyone from the 76th reads this, THANK YOU. Your service shows what kind of people this country is really made of. You are appreciated and you will be missed. Come back safe. We'll be waiting!

After we left Ft. Stewart we went to dinner and walked around Savannah. I also got to do a mini pregnancy shoot with Ryan & Leeann. Then we went window shopping at all kinds of cool art shops and a REALLY good candy shop. We had a blast!

If you're ever in Savannah you HAVE to go to the A.T. Hun Gallery and check it out. The art was FANTASTIC! The people were all extremely friendly. I met one of the artists Steve Shuman and his wonderful wife Gabrielle. I absolutely fell in love with one of his pieces but it was $3000. Someday I definately plan on buying some of his work though!

We also stopped by Savannah's Candy Kitchen. We got to watch them make taffy! It started out in this HUGE roll and is individually wrapped before it rolls along a belt hung from the ceiling to it's final destination... A GIANT display that holds lots and lots of taffy goodness! We also got to sample the praline. wow. That's all I can say about that. It was amazing!

Kadi & Rob

Can you say BEAUTIFUL?!?! I know Kadi through work, she and her husband Rob are both students. They're already married but we decided that they could use some new pictures! I'm sure glad because they are a STUNNING couple! Hope you like them guys!

I felt bad for Rob during this shoot, Kadi and I basically dragged him into it! Sorry Rob! He was such a trooper though, he even sat down in the snow and got his bootay wet!

When I was getting ready to take this next shot, Kadi gave me a "supermodel sexy" look. I said to Rob "Hey Rob, your wife is awesome at the sexy eye" Isn't she?

This is definately in my top 10 favorite shots i've EVER taken! I LOVE it!

We finished up the sitting in front of an antique shop Downtown. We found this awesome sled and figured we were due for a SUUUPER cheesy picture... here it is guys! The fun part about this picture... Kadi actually yelled when I took it! This could easily be the faces they'd be making on a sledding hill... instead of a sidewalk downtown. Haha!

Kyra ~ 3 months and smiling!

Baby Kyra is getting SOOO big! As soon as I walked in she just stared and SMILED at me! I like to think that she remembers me, but the last time I saw her she was about 4 days old. She's grown so much since then. It was so fun watching Becky & Sanford play with her. When they sing to her she coos along with them. And Sanford, I officially think you should try out for American Idol. Your voice is AMAZING! Here they are guys, hope you like them!

I've been going through my photos from Christmas and here are a few favorites...

Dale was VERY excited when she opened one of her presents. It was a set of Emeril pots & pans. And this was her reaction...

And then there was some more present opening... these were really fun...

Then there was some Asti Spumante and some MORE present opening!

And this is the silly quacking duck that Nick & Jeffy got. I stole Nick's and hid it so he wouldn't drive me nuts with it... BUT HE FOUND IT. Therefore it's been driving me insane since!

Meet Ryan & Leeann ~ They're Married!

What a weekend! A few things definately did not go as planned... but overall it was a beautiful day! Hope you like them guys!

Brynne Bourdon... Photographer & Makeup Artist! Haha! Leeanns sister took the next 2 shots while I was busting out my old pageant skills.

How gorgeous!!!

These guys were CRAAAAZY! We had lots of fun during our "guy" pictures. You should have seen them trying to all balance on top of these weird picnic tables. They weren't attached in the middle so if you weren't careful they'd slide around!

The flower girl and ring bearer were the CUTEST kids! I just couldn't help myself!

After the ceremony was done we got a few shots outside the reception location in Downtown Anderson. It was very fast but we got some really cute shots!

Meet K.B. ~ She's Graduating

I had such a fun time during this sitting. She plays the flute, and she takes riding lessons... two of my favorite things!

We started out on the golf course by her house then went to the barn where she takes riding lessons. How gorgeous is she!

It was so much fun being around all of the animals while we were there. This barn has BEAUTIFUL Morgan horses, a cute littel doggie, and LOTS of suuuuper cute kitties!

Isn't this the most adorable thing you've ever seen?

This girl did so great... she braved her fear of spiders and heights for the next few shots...

Favorite!

When we went upstairs for the last few shots we found the CUTEST little bitty baby kittens. The were just tiny little furballs. We had such a great time at the barn. After we left we headed off to downtown to finish up the session. Even after we spent all that time with dusty horses she still looked great!

It was so nice going home and seeing my family for a day or so... but I had even more fun with this sitting! She is a pretty girl so that definately made my job easy. She was probably one of the most natural posers I've ever shot. I thoroughly enjoyed going out to a horse barn and seeing all the animals. I want one of those baby kitties! Hope everyone is doing well!

Kyra was born a week ago! Becky and Sanford are so excited to finally have her here! She is such a beautiful little baby. And she sure has good set of lungs!

Sanford is soooo cute when he's around her! He has that new daddy super proud/happy face. It's absolutely adorable!

Marching Band State Finals

This past weekend I went and watched my little brother perform in the RCA Dome one last time. Concord did an awesome job, as did all the other bands there. This year was a GREAT competition! It was fairly bittersweet though. My brothers and I combined have put 12 years into the CHS marching band.(we're definately a music family) I was so proud of him though. It was a great finish to all the work we've done. I am really sad though... because now if I go to the state finals... I REALLY am a band geek. At least when he was marching I had an excuse to go down and fulfill my needs to see 150 kids marching in sync to classic band music while waving around pretty flags. I suppose I'll still go now and then... even though I get made fun of. Haha!

Meet Cory ~ He's Graduating

Cory has played soccer with my little brother for years. I'm not used to seeing these kids being so big! He's not that much of a kid anymore. Cory and I started out our session at the High School then moved on to downtown Elkhart.

The next two are my favorites! I think he looks like a model!

Cory's session was so much fun! I hadn't seen him in forever so that was really nice to catch up for a bit. The only problem we had was that it took EVERYTHING he had to make a serious not smiling face. This kid smiles like it's going out of style!

Meet CJ ~ He's Graduating

CJ plays soccer with my little brother so it was fun seeing him... he's much bigger than I remember him! We had such a fun time during our shoot! We went to downtown Elkhart and braved the crazy homeless people for a while. It was so worth it!

This is where things got REALLY interesting... CJ suggested that he hang from this thing in the plaza...

So as we're trying to take this photo a lady sitting at a bench nearby tells us that we should take pictures of her daughter. I laugh it off and try to continue with the session...

At this point the woman comes back up and tells us that when she got married some random person took her photos. She says "I don't know why the girl took our photos... but she did and we had fun" HOW WEIRD IS THAT! So she goes on to tell me how I should have CJ hang on the edge of this HUGE art fountain thingy in the plaza. Now if CJ would even try to climb that far on it he would fall off and break both of his legs. The lady however thought this was a BRILLIANT idea. So we eventually just started ignoring her as she continued to interupt the session and tell me what photos I should take... all of which were absolutely insane.

As CJ peeked through this part of the fountain we were DYING laughing about this crazy lady!

AND THEN!!! As we're trying to walk away the woman explains that we can take pictures of her daughter if we want... as long as we get her permission. So at this point we're really kind of freaked out... because we realize she's talking about her DOG! The woman says "You can take her picture if you want... she'll pose however you want and smile really nice for you!". So I look at CJ and he looks back at me with the funniest face! So we just mumbled goodbye and walked away as fast as we possibly could. And then a bum asked us for money. What a crazy night!

Meet Sanford & Becky ~ They're Having a Baby!

Becky and I used to work together and I hadn't seen her in months. She's changed just a bit the past 9 months...

They seemed SUPER excited to have this baby! They have her room all set for her to see when she comes home. Not that much longer!

They met through our National Guard unit and are getting married in November. It's so weird seeing a lot of the people my age in the unit getting married... TO EACH OTHER!
